Jack, our rescue spare-parts-dog, offers up his most hopeful expressions at meal-time. Painting such foreshortened shapes in a pose like this is an interesting challenge, because all you can do is paint "shapes of color."

Mary Lou, this painting caught my eye on the DPW site. I recognized your name. You show at the Riversea Gallery in Astoria. I've been admiring your work there for years! I've been showing there since about 1998. Glad to see more of your stuff on this blog. It's very Good!
